JW3, a new community centre for London’s Jewish population, won a Civic Trust Award it was announced last night at an event on London’s South Bank. The project was one of 30 honoured with an award in the capital.
Established in 1959, the Civic Trust Awards focus on architecture and urban design that makes an outstanding contribution to the quality and appearance of the built environment, is inclusive and offers a positive social, cultural, environmental or economic benefit to the local community.
The judges praised the scheme as ‘one of London’s most appealing civic buildings’.
